About us
This is the second year of the farmer’s market reboot after it paused during the pandemic. The goal of the Bloomfield Farmers Market is to feed the people and support local farmers who take good care of their land (no chemicals!). To this end:
1. We are FMNP/WIC certified and farmers are able to accept these cards as payment for eligible purchases.
2. By mid July, possibly earlier, we will accept food stamps (SNAP)
3. Thanks to a donation from the Hartford Foundation and support from First Congregational church of Bloomfield as our fiduciary agent, we have a market fund that we use to implement a pay what you can program where anybody who asks can sign up for $20 coupon with each vendor. Each week has about $300 per vendor allocated.
